Google - Room with a View

I gave an overview of Google software to my computer club recently. I concentrated on things I enjoy doing with Google products. The one product I like the most is Google Earth. The definition that Google has inserted into the views are amazing; especially the software's ability to render a 3-D view of the terrain. Google Earth is improved significantly from the old days, and if you don't have the latest version of Google Earth, go and download it right away.

Hidden inside Google Earth is a flight simulator, which you can access by typing Ctrl + Alt + A while in Google Earth. The software will transport you to one of many airports around the globe where you can fly either a propeller aircraft or a fighter jet. Check out the flight simulator's Help menu for flying instructions. The simulator uses Google Earth graphics to render the terrain below you, and you can transition from Earth to simulator and back again if you wish.

I tried to respect Google's admonitions on trademark restrictions, and did not include any definitive views of Google Maps or Google Earth in my write-up. But I wanted to post something that would allow our computer club members to sign up for these extra Google services and enjoy much of Google's free software. My write-up is posted as Google - Room with a View.

Computer Booters Album

Ok, take a look at this album. Not great, but effective.
